About
I’m a Hong Kong-based Australian freelance journalist, editor and content creator with 20 years’ experience.
Working with a diverse network of clients in Australia, Hong Kong and around the world, I cover health, sustainability, lifestyle, career and workplace issues, gender equity and small business. I offer a viewpoint that is both global and local.
My writing has been published in numerous publications including South China Morning Post, Cathay, NEXT, Law Society Journal, body+soul, Good Health, The New Daily, SBS Life, Bite, Vet Practice and realestate.com.au.
I’m the editor of Re:solve Global Health, a leading platform inspiring action on urgent global health issues. Collaborating with an international team of journalists and Danish publisher Dalberg Media, we’ve covered medical gaslighting, HIV vaccines, the rise of femtech, trans healthcare, pandemic preparedness and much, much more.
Creating content for brands, universities and corporates, I’ve worked with HCF, Deakin University, James Cook University, the Australian Psychological Society, SEEK, Beyond Blue, Study Australia (Australian Government), Officeworks, Bunnings, Fernwood Fitness, Weight Watchers, Bupa and NGS Super. I’m a former editor of health insurer HCF's member publication, Health Agenda. Its articles reached more than 70,000 print subscribers and 500,000 digital subscribers via enewsletter.
I’m also experienced in writing and editing media releases, eDMs, social content, educational resources, eBooks and corporate reports.
Before going freelance I worked in magazines for many years, including a stint as editor of Women’s Health & Fitness, and I’ve also held in-house corporate communications roles with not-for-profits and member-based organisations. I hold a Bachelor of Communication (Honours) / Bachelor of Arts from Monash University.
When I’m not chasing a deadline you’ll probably find me exploring Hong Kong’s hiking trails and beaches, travelling to somewhere I don’t speak the language or savouring leftovers from last night’s dinner party. I aim to tread lightly but live big.
